Get connected to events, programs, and resources for the LGBTQ and Intercultural community at RU–Newark.

Your identity will be supported, honored, and affirmed at the LGBTQ and Intercultural Resource Center. We serve as a catalyst to unite and empower individuals from LGBTQ and diverse communities toward the liberation from systematic structures of oppression. Our goal is to make your learning experience at RU–N a rewarding journey while igniting your passion for diversity and social justice.

The Center is a great place to meet new students and create long-lasting friendships. We are committed to creating a home away from home that supports a safe, brave and welcoming environment. We also serve as a resource for those who seek to strengthen their cultural competencies and engage and interact with people who embody identities different from their own as we strive to cocreate a family environment.

By getting involved with us, you can

  • Become a social change agent for the liberation of the LGBTQ and intercultural communities
  • Challenge yourself
  • Expand your own horizons
  • Explore different cultures
  • Learn critical thinking skills
  • Share your own experiences

Consider stopping by and getting to know us.
