Rutgers University-Newark is committed to supporting students throughout their academic journey. After your admission to the university, you may have needed to take a break or time away from your academic studies due to life events and circumstances. Not to worry, we are here to help you re-enroll so that you can complete your academic journey and earn your degree.
Rutgers University-Newark provides you with a number of ways to come back home and re-enroll. If you are re-enrolling for full-time status (12 credits+) in Fall 2023 and qualify for in-state tuition with more than 60 earned credits, you may qualify for the Garden State Guarantee or RUN to the TOP.
If you have taken an academic break for one (1) or more consecutive Fall and Spring semesters, have an outstanding balance from prior enrollment, and have earned at least 60 credits, you may qualify for the RUN Rising Program.
If you have never enrolled in Rutgers-Newark, you can explore options for enrolling with the Office of Summer & Winter Sessions and the Office of Undergraduate & Graduate Admissions.
You can also learn more about re-enrolling at Rutgers-Newark by attending one of our virtual or in-person information sessions. The event type, date, and times are listed below. Virtual and In-person event registration links can be found below.
We hope to see you soon and welcome you home!
Information Sessions
Rutgers University-Newark is hosting a series of virtual and in-person sessions for re-enrollment students interested in returning to campus. Attendance at one of each event type is highly recommended as they both serve different purposes. The virtual sessions act as an informational on new programs and policies being implemented in the university for Fall 2023, followed by a Q&A segment. Whereas the in-person sessions allow students to meet one-on-one with representatives from various student success offices, such as financial aid, academic advising offices, student accounting, and more, all in one space. Registration for these events is required and can be done below
We look forward to meeting you,
