Anticipating a refund? Follow the steps below.
Getting Your Refund
In This Section
If your financial aid award exceeds your balance due, you are entitled to receive a refund of the credit balance on your student account. Refund checks are available after the add/drop period if your account shows a credit balance. You will receive an email when your refund is available.
You have two options for getting your refund:
Electronic Deposit: Direct deposit is the fastest, safest and most convenient way to receive your refund. It generally takes 3-5 business days for direct deposit to work after the initial setup.
Mail: Paper refund checks will be MAILED to your permanent home address listed on your student account after last day to add/drop. If you need to change your mailing address, please visit personalinfo.rutgers.edu .
