Scholarships

Start here if you are interested in applying for scholarships.

Scholarships can help to off set the cost of attending the university. Whether you choose to attend Rutgers University–Newark, another regional university at Rutgers, or a university outside of Rutgers, it is important to start thinking about scholarships early. Scholarships are a form of gift-aid that do not have to be repaid. Scholarships can be awarded to admitted and/or continuing students.

Even if you believe you will not be eligible for federal student aid and funding, you must file a FAFSA to be considered for a scholarship. Merit-based scholarships have a need-based component, and a FASFA must be on file to be considered and awarded.
