If you are looking for part-time work to help fund your education, you can turn to either of the two following programs:
Federal Work Study Program
2024-2025 FAFSA Simplification & December 2023 Launch
The Federal Work Study Program is an employment program funded by the federal government. This program is awarded based on financial need, and it requires you to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You are placed in part-time jobs within university departments (and some approved community service jobs), and you earn wages based on the amount of hours worked. Through this program, you will gain valuable job skills and earn funds to help pay your educational costs. To be considered, you must file by the priority deadline, as set by the university.
For more information, please visit the Office of Financial Aid located in Blumenthal Hall on the 3rd floor.
Note: Federal work study funds are not credited to your term bill.
Job Location and Development Program
The Job Location and Development Program is an employment program funded by the federal government. This program provides part-time employment to currently enrolled Rutgers students, both on and off-campus, regardless of financial need.
