RU-N to Graduation!

In This Section

Rutgers University-Newark is dedicated to supporting and assisting our students with graduating on time.

Students are encouraged to:

  1. Create and follow an approved academic plan
  2. Meet regularly with their academic advisor
  3. Seek assistance from their academic advisor if their academic plan encounters challenges

We strongly recommend that students stay in regular contact with their academic support system.

Students’ support system should include:

  • An academic advisor within their school
  • An advisor within their academic program (EOF, HLLC, Honors College, Pre-Health, Pre-Law, etc.);
  • financial aid counselor; and
  • Other student-centered faculty and staff across the university.
  • Students can find a number of online tools or download the Navigate app to assist in contacting academic and student offices at Rutgers University-Newark.

Rutgers University-Newark is committed to supporting you to your goal of graduation.

  • Completing 30 credits over the Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer semesters to remain on track to graduate in four years for first years and two years for transfer students.
  • If you cannot take a total of 30 credits, please work closely with your academic advisor on your academic progress.
