COVID 19 Policy

Students admitted and registered for Spring 2022 are required under Policy 10.3.14 to be vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they have received a medical or religious exemption approved in writing by Rutgers’ Waiver Review Committee or are exempt from the Policy for any of the other reasons listed in the Policy.

  • Students who accept admission to Rutgers on or after December 1, 2021 must upload evidence of immunization to the Rutgers Student Immunization portal as soon as the vaccination series is completed and no later 7 calendar days after their acceptance date.
  • Students accepted on or after December 1, 2021 who wish to request a medical or religious exemption must submit their request, via Rutgers' Student Immunization portal, no later than 7 calendar days after their acceptance date. Information on the exemption request process is outlined below.
  • Students (new and returning) who are not compliant with the University Policy 10.3.14 will not be permitted to register for Spring 2022 courses.

How Do You Want Your Refund?

As you prepare and anticipate your potential housing, dining and/or parking refund, we want to inform you of the options available to receive your funds.

Direct Deposit

If you have a valid U.S bank account, we highly recommend you set up direct deposit at refunds.rutgers.edu in order to receive your refunds faster and more securely. If you have direct deposit already set up, please check to verify that your U.S. bank account is still active.

Flywire

If you processed payment online through Flywire, we can refund the original payor’s account directly. Please note, Flywire may charge a 0.5% refund processing fee. Please immediately email us at myrun@newark.rutgers.edu if you prefer this refund option. Please include your 9-digit Rutgers ID number (RUID) in the email.

Paper Check

If you cannot set up direct deposit, or did not make payment/choose to refund through Flywire, you will be mailed a paper check. Please note, it may take 90 or more days to receive refund checks by mail due to COVID 19 delays. Please update your official Rutgers University mailing address immediately.

Please refer to our FAQ page for a full list of questions and answers on refunds and other finance-related issues.
