Tuition & Fees Rates
- The Rutgers Board of Governors took the unprecedented step of freezing tuition and fees from 2019-20 for the 2020-21 academic year. This action was taken in recognition of the economic stresses that confront every member of our community and despite cost increases in virtually every area of Rutgers operations.
- Rutgers will also be implementing a 15% reduction in what has been called the “Campus Fee” for the fall semester. You can read more about this at https://www.rutgers.edu/president/fee-reduction-rutgers-students
Tution and fees vary based on your student's school, campus and program affiliation. To help you better understand, here is a list of the RU–N undergraduate schools your student may be affiliated with:

- Rutgers Business School (RBS- School 29)

Housing Rates
For Fall 2020, campus housing will be limited due to COVID-19 and in accordance with the RU-N plan, Returning to Rutgers University – Newark: A Working Plan for Fall 2020. Students seeking to stay in housing for Fall 2020 received communication from the Office of Housing and Residence Life early in July 2020. The Office of Housing and Residence Life is currently reviewing applications, and Fall 2020 housing assignments will be finalized and communicated via email in early August. Those students assigned to housing for Fall 2020 will need to adhere to the Guide to Residence Life and COVID19 safety and community standards laid out by the Office of Housing and Residence Life and the Division of Student Affairs.
