Dear Rutgers University – Newark community members,
As you know from Executive Vice President Calcado’s earlier message, plans are for Rutgers to remain open during the winter storm that is projected for our region from Wednesday, December 16 to Thursday, December 17, 2020.
During that period, instructors should implement alternate arrangements for final exams where in-person delivery was otherwise expected.
Most offices at Rutgers-Newark are operating remotely and will continue to offer services uninterrupted, but there will be some modifications to hours.
- Dana Library will be closed Thursday. Online services will remain available at: https://www.libraries.rutgers.edu/services_students.
- Paul Robeson Campus Center will remain open 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.
- Robeson Cafe will be open on Wednesday and Thursday for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (closing at 7 p.m.).
- Starbucks and On The RU-N store will close early on Wednesday, at 1 p.m., and will not be open on Thursday. Normal hours resume on Friday.
- pantryRUN hours for Wednesday will be 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- The Golden Dome will be open Wednesday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and will be closed on Thursday.
We strongly encourage all members of the Rutgers-Newark community who are in the region to avoid unnecessary travel during the storm. Please stay safe.
Sincerely,
Peter T. Englot
