Sharemoney supports the vision of foreign immigrants moving to the US to build better lives for themselves and their families. The work and educational opportunities in this country are often not available in other parts of the world and we understand the effort required to realize these dreams. For that reason Sharemoney is proud to offer a $1,000 scholarship for students embarking on this journey.
Eligibility Requirements
- be a high school senior or college freshman, sophomore or junior
- be an immigrant, the child or grandchild of an immigrant
- be enrolled or in the process of enrolling at Rutgers University
Each applicant must submit basic profile information including name, address, academic history, resume, and university or institute of attendance as of September 1. Semi-finalists will be required to submit an essay of 1,000 words or fewer on the following essay question: What dream was your family pursuing by emigrating to the United States and how does your education contribute to this?
One student will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship.

All applicant submissions are subject to the terms and rules for the Sharemoney Immigrant Support Scholarship as outlined by Sharemoney and ISTS.
You may share this with any other immigrant students attending Rutgers University (all campuses). They would need to register an account with ISTS using program key Sharemoney.
